End Quantity Pricing | Promotional Products | EQP

EQP: End Quantity PricingEQP or End Quantity Pricing refers to the lowest published price of a promotional product, whether in print or online.

Promotional product suppliers offer different pricing levels based on the number (or quantity) of items being purchased. Generally, the more a customer buys, the lower the unit price of each product. For example, if someone purchases 2,500 units of a product, they would pay a lower price per unit than someone who purchases just 144 units. So as a buyer increases the quantity purchased, the unit cost per item decreases.

When suppliers display pricing in a grid, some refer to EQP as end column pricing. This is because suppliers usually display the lowest price in the last column on the right.

Not all promotional product distributors have access to end quantity pricing. It is a benefit that many suppliers reserve for their best distributor clients. Similarly, distributors who have access to end quantity pricing don’t always pass it along to their customers. They can choose to reserve it for their best clients or use it to be more price-competitive when they have to be. When EQP is not passed along to clients, promotional distributors can use it to improve their gross profit margins on lower quantity orders.
